Analytics Engineering interns are embedded within teams that build tools and services for the Netflix application platform. You will work on deriving actionable insights from data to measure product feature reliability, assess device ecosystem health, and improve engineering operational efficiency. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with software engineers and product managers to improve metric fidelity and develop technical data products.
What you'll do
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large and complex data sets from various sources.
Define foundational data models and work toward the productization of analytical tools.
Analyze request patterns, identify new signals, perform anomaly detection, and recommend adjustments based on quantified impact.
Create insightful data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau to help stakeholders act upon data.
Collaborate with engineers during the development process to gather feedback and iterate on design improvements.
What you'll need
Currently enrolled in a full-time M.S. or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Expected graduation date of December 2026, Summer 2027, or later.
Must be returning to school for at least one semester or quarter following the summer internship.
Hands-on experience with data analysis and the standard data science tech stack.
Experience leveraging distributed systems for large-scale data processing.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or Java.
Experience building intuitive schemas and data models for datasets.
